WHITE LABEL DELIVERY
MISSION AND VISION
The people behind the Amsterdam Logistic Cityhub believe in a future in which transport across ‘the last mile’ and in areas with high urban density can take place much more efficiently and without emissions. Cities are looking to eliminate CO2 emissions and are seeking methods to improve safety and the living environment within their limits.
The ALC is therefore not just about a new building, it is the introduction of an integrated logistics concept for the city of Amsterdam, in which all available traffic flows and methods of transport are bundled and coordinated. The waterside location offers great potential for the supply and distribution of goods via the waterway network in Amsterdam, relieving pressure on the road network in and around the city.
ALC's founders believe that creating synergy between users is essential. The delivery of goods could easily be made much smarter which would reduce the number of mobility movements within and into the city. We also believe that close cooperation with the Port of Amsterdam and the City of Amsterdam is vital, but we are proactive and will not wait around. As a ‘white label’ organiser we are shouldering the risk of the investment ourselves.
ALC is strongly committed to the development and reintegration of people with a disadvantage in the labour market. We are working with them on the establishment and maintenance of the 1-hectare rooftop garden. Together with our partner, Level 5, we have developed a strategy to offer permanent opportunities to those with difficulty to entering the labour market. As such, ALC is also positioning itself as a trendsetter in the area of social employment.
